On the 11th DAY of Christmas Past, the first Christmas in Salt Lake Valley held a Christmas spirit in camp, and the pioneers worked with no dilly dally.
Christmas 1847 was a Saturday and the pioneers carried on with their daily routine. Every minute counted. Later that night a dance was held and the pioneers never had a happier Christmas in seeing all they had to be grateful for.
