September 12, 1852 – The first branch of the Church in India is organized at Poonah.

September 12, 1974 – Elder Gordon B. Hinckley offers an invocation at the United States Congress.

September 12, 1991 – Elder Boyd K. Packer dedicates the Republic of the Ukraine for the preaching of the gospel.
