We arrive at Honolulu Airport then transfer to our hotel in Waikiki where we will stay 3 nights at The Twin Fin (a lovely hotel overlooking the beach) as we visit sites around the southern part of the island.  Next, we head for the North Shore.  Only an hour away from Waikiki, the famous North Shore feels like an entirely different world–a slower, laid-back setting.  Four-night stay at the lovely Courtyard Marriott in Laie—just steps away from the beach and other popular local attractions including the Polynesian Cultural Center, BYU Hawaii, & Laie Temple.

Included in our 8 days of adventures*: inspiring and insightful presentations about Church history in Hawaii, worship time at the Laie Temple, sacrament meeting at a local ward in the stunning LDS Tabernacletwo visits to fully explore the internationally-renowned and Church-owned Polynesian Cultural Center (including one night of their famous luau dinner and HĀ: Breath of Life”), BYU-Hawaii campus tour, a poignant visit to Pearl Harbor (learn about inspiring Latter-day Saint connections there!), time at the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet (a favorite, even for the locals) where you will definitely find some “souvenir treasures” – food, clothing, jewelry, wood carvings, ukuleles etc; stops at local fruit stands along Kamehameha highway; view the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (aka Punchbowl cemetery; many Latter-day soldiers buried here), Waimea Valley & Waterfalls (enjoy a leisurely walk through the stunning botanical gardens and a fun–but optional–swim in the pool at the base of the falls), spend a day at Kualoa Ranch to explore the sets of some of the most famous Hollywood movies filmed in Hawaii and spend a relaxing afternoon at Secret Island beach, visit Honolulu’s beautiful Pali Lookout, plus stop by the Dole Pineapple Plantation and Tropical Farms (a favorite North Shore macadamia nut farm & country store).  *Activities are scheduled & likely to happen, but are subject to change based on weather and other extenuating circumstances.

OPTIONAL excursions available for an exciting Zipline experience or horseback riding (added/optional expense, if you wish to participate).

And an MHA tour wouldn’t be complete without a few fun surprises along the way… right?
